Online therapy services
for pregnant women,
new mothers, and parents
In my practice specializing in supporting new mothers and parents transitioning to parenthood, I find my passion and purpose in guiding them through their journey via telehealth therapy in California. When we work together, I get the opportunity to provide comprehensive support in this season of adapting to the emotional, physical, spiritual, and physical changes that come with parenthood.

How Virtual Therapy With Lauren Works
I use an electronic health record (EHR) platform called Simple Practice to host my virtual therapy sessions.
You’ll receive a new call link before each session, so you’ll want to be sure to set up your Appointment Reminder preferences through your Client Portal account.
You can join virtual sessions from your computer, phone, or tablet via a web browser (i.e., Chrome, Explorer, Safari, etc.).
Simple Practice also has a Client Portal mobile app that you can utilize to join virtual sessions if you wish (available for both iOS and Android).
When we schedule our Intake Appointment, you’ll received an Intake Paperwork Packet that includes a “Telehealth Prep Kit.” This Prep Kit will walk you through steps to prepare yourself, your space, and your technology for our virtual therapy session.
If you run into any issues, you’ll also be able to contact be directly.

The Therapy Roadmap — From Start to Finish
Book a free 20-minute Consultation Call with me.
Consultation Call (20 minutes)
If we’re a good fit, we’ll schedule an Intake Appointment. If we are not a good fit, I will offer referrals.
Complete your Intake Paperwork prior to the intake appointment. For couples therapy, each partner will complete their own intake packet. (30 minutes)
Intake Appointment (50-90 minutes)
If we continue to be a good fit, we’ll schedule weekly appointments. If we are not a good fit, I will offer referrals.
Weekly Appointments (50-90 minutes)
Depending on your preferences and my availability, we will schedule appointments as we go or book a standing appointment day/time.
I recommend we meet 3-4 weeks in a row to start. This gives me time to clinically assess your needs and collaboratively build a treatment plan with you.
If at any point you do not feel we are a right fit, please let me know ASAP (I promise to do the same) and I will offer referrals.
I firmly believe that you will not get the full benefit of therapy unless there is a good match between you and your therapist.
I am not the right therapist for everyone and I am never offended to hear that! I am ALWAYS happy to offer referrals and support transitioning your care to another therapist.
Adjust Meeting Frequency As/If Needed
As therapy continues, we’ll adjust our appointment frequency to suit your clinical needs and goals.
Typically, I find that clients will titrate down to meeting every 2 weeks and then every 3-4 weeks before finally moving to either maintenance (meeting as-needed) or termination (ending our therapeutic relationship).
Wrapping Things Up
As we move into the late stages of therapy, we’ll consistently connect about moving to either maintenance (meeting as-needed) or termination (ending our therapeutic relationship).
Based on your needs and preferences, we’ll make a plan for maintenance or termination.
Please note that it is not possible for me to estimate how long our therapeutic relationship will last as this is something we determine together based on your needs and progress toward your goals.
